The veranda, with it’s seating and deck area overlooking the lake, with a hot tub to relax in. The lodge inside is brilliant, lovely open plan design for the lounge and kitchen area with lovely sofa, big smart TV, little dinning table, a kitchen with everything, including an amazing toaster!

Jill and Andrew our hosts were amazing. Little touches like cupcakes on arrival, and sweets for the kids on Halloween were amazing. As soon as we arrived they treated us like family who were coming to stay. I cannot praise SVL enough, a simply wonderful place. Thank you Jill and Andrew, see you next year.

A lovely sun bathing area and a fantastic private swim, we caught loads of perfect condition carp. Andrew really takes care of the lakes and fish and you can tell! A couple of double figure carp finished off a short stay. We loved it so much, we have booked another 7 night stay.

The fishing was great lots of big carp coming out which kept me happy, some decent Bream and roach which was great for my son who hadn’t fished before. The lakes themselves are extremely well maintained and very picturesque. Even if your not fishing they are great to have a walk around with the dog.

The wood burning stove completes a real Nordic style. Huge bed with TV that rises up from the bed frame, plenty wardrobe space and a great shower room. The owners have gone to so much trouble to make this a perfect holiday location to unwind and relax – they have succeeded, thank you, we’ll be back!

What a fantastic place so clean and peaceful stayed in Kingfisher lodge prosecco iced waiting for us to arrive, great hot tub fishing really good double figure carp, You can catch fish all day long, home made Devon scones with cream and jam. Will defiantly recommend and will return Jill and Andy super hosts

Wow!!! This place is amazing you be crazy not to visit. The family that own it, go above and beyond, make you feel so welcome. Willow lodge which is even more specular than the pictures. Looking for a romantic weekend away then the cedar lodge. We will be visiting again for sure.

Stayed here for a weekend. We were in Kingfisher Lodge as this is the dog friendly Lodge. The lodge was beautiful and the view over the lake was just stunning. Jill and Andrew who own the 5 lodges make you so welcome and are so friendly. Definitely recommend this place.

I was also overjoyed when I saw the Lodge was on a fishing pond. The Lodges are immaculate & the Hot-Tubs are Fantastic. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we have re-booked for the same time, next July. Our Hosts were Very Helpful, Pleasant & Accommodating. A Fantastic & Relaxing week

We are here for the week, staying in Cedar Lodge. The setting is really beautiful, exceptionally well kept in a stunning location. The villa itself is amazing so well thought out and so many amazing little touches that make the place feel special.

Second time that we have stayed here . Jill and Andrew who are the most friendly and helpful hosts you could wish for. Luxurious, spotlessly clean.  Lodges are set in the beautiful countryside with fishing lakes on your doorstep which contain lots of big carp . Recommend this beautiful place highly enough . 11 out of 10

We have been here twice now. The lodges are 5*plus, the owners are lovely and are always on hand if you need anything. Its only 10 mins from shops etc and not far from Exeter which has every shop imaginable. I love getting the eggs and leaving the money in an honesty box.
